First off make a room to put everything in; I used an air brush with the dimensions 50x50x50. Then create a solid brush which will be your mover, make sure after you create the solid brush, you click on “Is Detail” and then “Update” as so:
Go to texture mode and apply your semi-transparent texture to the solid brush. I used sky-> sky_towersky08_A.tga. apply then apply map, then build.
Now your brush should look like this:
Next go to group mode. Select the solid brush and create a group, call it “trans-mover01”. Then go to the User-Defined Groups and click on the group called “trans-mover01”. Click on the “Keyframe” button. Set your Keyframe properties as normal. I set mine like this:
You can put multiple keyframes if wanted. I got this:
Then build. Go to object mode and put in a “Trigger Auto”. While the trigger auto is selected, hold down on “Ctrl” and select the first Keyframe. Press “K”. Next to go “Brush Mode”. Select the mover brush. Click on “Clip”. Put your dots in to form the line, make sure the dots are not in the brush, but the line goes through the brush. Like this:
Then click on “Cut Brush”. Then Build. It will appear to do nothing, but when you play in game, the mover will keep its transparency, just make sure you do not edit its vertex or face properties after this point. J.
Save your level, Create level packfile, then click on “Play Level”
ENJOY! :)
